Awakening

I came to this work through personal experience. I went through an intense awakening in February 2013 and, in trying to understand what was happening, immersed myself in the field. I undertook some formal training with the Spiritual Crisis Network UK and have since spoken with hundreds, if not thousands, of people navigating awakening in its many forms.

These experiences can be deeply destabilising, shifting your entire worldview practically overnight and leaving you questioning everything you once believed to be true. Because awakening is still widely misunderstood, many people struggle to find informed, grounded support. I was fortunate that the therapist I was seeing at the time had also moved through an awakening. Her presence helped normalise my experience and guide me through the disorientation with steadiness and compassion.

Awakening can open the door to deep personal healing, but it can also lead down confusing rabbit holes, intensify old wounds, and create profound feelings of isolation. When those around you don’t recognise or understand what you’re experiencing, it can feel as though you no longer fit into the world you once knew.

I support people in learning how to integrate these experiences into everyday life, finding ways to re-engage with society, relationships, and responsibilities while staying true to who they have become. Together, we can explore the shifts, questions, and expansions awakening brings, without pathologising them or losing your grounding in daily life.

Awakening looks different for everyone. Some people encounter visions, synchronicities, energetic phenomena, or moments of deep inner knowing that don’t fit neatly into ordinary explanations. For others, awakening comes with no spiritual framework at all, simply a sense of waking up from a deep sleep and seeing the world beyond its conditioning, systems, or control.

Whatever your personal experience, I offer a safe and grounded space for navigating these experiences. My work is rooted in psychological safety, nervous system regulation, and practical integration, so that insights can be woven into everyday life rather than becoming overwhelming or destabilising. With me, nothing you share is “too much” or unbelievable.

I don’t guide people through my own belief system; instead, I support you in exploring what these experiences mean for you, helping you find a framework that feels authentic, balanced, and supportive, and allowing you to feel safe, integrated, and at home in your life once more.
